Server breach - 25/02/2012 Night only whitelist.

WE HAVE COME TO A CONCLUSION THAT THE SERVER CRASHED/GOT RESTARTED AND THE WORLD GOT RESET, HENCE WHY COMPRESS WAS UNBANNED! WE STILL DO NOT KNOW WHY THE SERVER GOT RESET!

Firstly, before I inform you about this outrageous issue, the server will be down (whitelisted) over the night, due a level 5 security breach/hack of scorpion-gaming. Unfortunately, I could not capture any pictures of the breach, however, thejoker1123, a server owner, managed to capture one.

This will almost sound like a story, but I am going to tell you of this story in chronological order, so you can understand it in more detail.

So, our one of our kind Moderators, orangedragon038, decided to advertise our server on the minecraft forums. Despite this being a useful happening, we were prepared for some kind of group griefing or spamming the server. As assumed, this first happened by a group of members who spammed (most likely binding with improved chat, or using a hack client). Instantly, thejoker1123 and I, wolfyllama, banned these users. Many more users signed into our server, the amount of time was extremely minimal between each user joining. Our suspicious, obviously, were risen and we kept a keen eye on these people. None of these people signed up on the forums. As thejoker1123 left, Jordan and I were left to manage the server alone.

Nocheat, a trusted bukkit plugin installed in our server, which detects cheats from hack clients or the zombe pack for example. Frequent messages from these members revealed themselves as they were using cheats such as nofall. We did not react to this, as it would not affect gameplay too much. When Richard came back, and these members were still here, I had to go for my dinner, when I came back, after around five minutes, a previously banned member "compress" came back onto the server. He had been banned TWICE that day before, and been banned by me previously for griefing. The other members had all left when I came back to this server. Other users came onto this server, it appears all of them were griefers/spammers. We didn't realise how he got unbanned, or who did it. We checked the control panel, but we found no evidence leading to this happening. Another member joined, and straight away asked if he could be teleported to compress. "Fletchlet" an extremely kind donator, teleported them to each other. "Compress" apologised for his actions, and appeared to be playing legitimately. Eventually, we resorted to banning this user as there was definitely some kind of paranormal activity occuring. His friend, who had been teleported, threatened to stop our server (however we believe it was NOT him doing the actions), we have now banned him and we have evidence of his threat (by thejoker1123):

Later, the minecraft server went down two times, so at that point we knew some kind activity was going on inside the server control panel. "Betterelectric6" another Admin/Server Owner checked the control panel and found that in "ops.txt" many [Builder] ranks were op'ed and had access to many commands. At this point we had no choice to but to be worried about the state of the server. We deoped all of these op'ed players, and started to create our whitelist.

Many more events happened during this time, a member joined who had been silently griefing an Admin's property. I teleported to him to check on his progression while we had been attempting to fix other issues, and he had broken unprotected glass where lava was being contained. He was starting to grief other areas when he was banned:

More people are coming on, and carrying on with their griefing project. This is not acceptable, and I do not see why people grief like this.
